Gathering House Veenendaal Oost houses 3 primary schools and a sports hall. "What does the place look like where people like to meet each other" was the starting point for the design of this graphic representation. The image plane is illuminated from behind by LED lighting. Each calendar season has its own color range. The light choreography creates subtle color shifts, making the image continuously evolving. Beverwijk municipality wanted to enrich its inhabitants with a gift in the form of a work of art to celebrate the opening of the new town hall. But who would pay for that gift? Those were the residents of Beverwijk themselves. Via the general tax. Converted: € 1.31 per capita.
