Critical reader in contemporary art / BAK 2015 Experiencing the quality of a place physically. To find out what a location requires, highlighting that. Adding findings, so that what is already present strengthens the identity of the place. Purpose: To tempt passers-by, visitors and users to be receptive to their constantly changing environment. The starting point is the realization that everything we observe is part of a larger whole. A place of 'seeing' is a layered and meaningful given in which nose, ear and eye for 'what is going on' is indispensable. The challenge is to make this stratification visible.
